The monitor runs software/application revision 3.50 and has DSA enabled.

BIS monitoring uses electrical activity from the brain, known as EEG, to help trained healthcare professionals assess the effects of anaesthesia. DSA (Density Spectral Array) shows EEG activity as a colour chart over time, helping users see changes and patterns.

What does the LoC 4-channel module do?

The Covidien BIS LoC 4-channel module processes EEG signals from a compatible patient sensor and sends the information to the monitor.

With a compatible bilateral sensor and monitor configuration, it supports four-channel monitoring from both sides of the brain. This allows trained users to compare activity on the left and right sides. Patient sensors are not included in this sale.
